Is this considered late (and I shouldn't get my hopes up)?

Cut it way too close on timing and I'm a little (a lottle, actually) worried I may have submitted a secondary late, but it still went through and I got a confirmation email from the website afterward. Was hoping to get some input and thoughts..

For context:
I received the secondary invite email on 8/10 at 4:11 PM. The email said something along the lines of "submissions are due no more than 14 days after receiving this email" but did not mention a specific time. I was panicking to get everything in on 8/25 at 11:59 PM, but didn't click through to submission until 8/26 at 12:00 AM (literally a few seconds after midnight). Portal wasn't greyed out though and I got the confirmation email right after.

Should I assume when adcoms get around to seeing it they'll see it was technically late, and I shouldn't get my hopes up and expect a chance for an II? Anyone have any anecdotes of something similar?

P.S. should I assume from now on that if no time is specified for a deadline it should be at the time the email was received instead of 11:59 PM?

How about don't wait until the last minute to submit so you don't have to even worry about it? At this point it is late. Not technically late. Late. Your guess is as good as mine if they will still consider your application, but use it as a teaching moment to not procrastinate essays from schools that give you a hard deadline.

I'm not sure why you're focusing on time of day or 8/25 vs 8/26 when 14 days after 8/10 is... 8/24?

By the 14 day window, your 8/25 submission was already outside of it. 8/24 would have been 14 days. Specifically, 4:10 PM on 8/24 if you want to get really picky. You were, by my view, more than 24 hours past when they said they wanted it by.

The lesson to learn is that you should turn these around as soon as possible if it's a school that is high on your list.

What's done is done. You have no power over this. so why worry about it.

I do need to add that good time mgt is required for a successful medical student.
