My Winter grades are in and I am applicant for the class of 2010. I only have now 6 credits in the fall left to graduate. My current University of Michigan GPA is 3.05. There is one good thing I think about my GPA is that it has been increasing. I transferred to University of Michigan my first two semesters 26 credits 2.0(bad times in personal life but I was stupid and can only blame my self ). since than last 48 credits I have GPA of 3.62 making my Overall U of M GPA to be 3.05. Also I have 3.45(54 credits) from my Community college and 4.0(14 credits) from Michigan State. Overall GPA is 3.3 Is this going to be enough for me to get an acceptance some where. By the way my DAT is 21AA/22TS/15PAT (ouch)(19 BIO, GC 23, OC 25, RC 17, QR 21, PAT 15). What you guys think I should do my last semester. I only want to take 6 credits and be done with my degree. Or you think I should go full time to further increase my GPA. I am really worried about that two semesters of 2.0 in a row. I am not going to take my DAT again. I have great EC's and LOR's. I am pretty much willing to go anywhere for D school and will apply this month to get my application early. Thanks

a rough guess
u maybe u have like a little above 3.3 overall
if your PAT was at least 17 would have been nice though, but if you arent going to take it again then cross your fingers. However, u have decent AA scores

u are saying that ur EC is good.

overall i think if you rock your interviews u will get in somewhere.

I think you will be more than fine at PRIVATE SCHOOLS. The big ones like BU, NYU may be tufts and temple but to get into your choice may be tough. You have huge improvement on your GPA over the last 50 or so credit which is great and you are graduating so thats a plus. For public schools I don't know about DAT though. I think your DAT is very very good except that 15 on PAT which is making me liitle sketchy with your GPA. My GPA was similar when I applied this year with higher DAT scores and I had 5 interviews lined up but had to withdraw my application for the family reasons so can't tell you how many acceptances I would have had. I also had almost all my pre req at CC so don't worry about that. You will get interviws no doubt. You will hear diffference of opinion on this board so take my advice with grain of salt. I will be applying again with you this year and hopefully will get all those interviews again. Good Luck.

Yeah I agree with the above poster. You're probably fine on the GPA stuff, but try to improve your pat. You can do it with practice.

You should really consider taking the DAT again. Most schools have minimum score of 17 for each section of the DAT. So your 15 in the PAT section would automatically put you out of the running. Good luck with the studying~! You can def. do it

Look, you're pretty much done with you degree. So, there is not that much you can do about improving those numbers. What is your other area where you can show improvement? The DAT!! I personally believe you PAT score is too low; if you had a higher GPA I would probably incourage you NOT to take the DAT; but, given your GPA I would highly suggest you to double think about the possibility of retaking the DAT just so you can improve the PAT section.

Thanks guys for replying. I was out for trip and just got back. I think I might have to take DAT becasue that is what my advisor is saying too. 15 is real bad as I can see. Well I have one month time between Aug and september and that should be more than enough time for studying. I think I will take it but in sept. I think biggest mistake I made when I took DAT was that I only studied for 13 days and I think that reflected on my score.
