IS this list good enough??

Hello all,
I am SC resident and a re-applicant. Last year I only applied to 5 schools, so this year I am expanding my list to at least 10-11 schools. My science GPA is 3.9 and overall GPA is 3.8. My DAT scores are Sci: 24, Avg: 22 and PAT: 20. I have many extracuriculars and over 150 hours of shadowing. Please tell me if my list is good enough. I tried to look for schools that took enough out of state students, but I could use some advise:

3-Mary
4-Tuft
5-Minn
6-UMKC
7-NJ
8-Penn
9-Pitt
10-Nova
11-Tenn

I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just as an insight, many of Minnesota's out of state are from the WICHE program and Wisconsin. There was one from VA, though.

I would say as long as you can interview at a satisfactory level, your are in for sure.

Hmmm... with that GPA and DAT scores I can't help but think what went wrong? You must've gotten interviews at least, right?

I retook the DAT last month. I had scored 18 before for both Avg and PAT and 19 on sciences. I had one interview last year and some bad luck....but things have changed now...lets hope for the best!

It should be another story this year. Those new DAT scores will open some doors.

Nice scores! They are pretty much a clone of what I got on mine in June. I was wondering the same thing and recently placed a post about it around a week ago. I know where your coming from. I am from NC and only have one in-state school as you already know. I am currently applying to 8 schools and was thinking about adding another school or so but was not sure to which ones I should shoot for. I was thinking about either creighton or case western but I am still contemplating whether it is necessary.

hey predent2009,

I've changed some of my school choices after contacting some schools and finding out that they only take certain out of states. This link is really helpful:

look at pages 28-32 (i believe)
I haved added case, virginia commonwealth, BU, USC, Temple and took out UMKC, NJ, and Minn...hopefully this will be enough!
