So Im retaking Gen Chem, Orgo I and Orgo II at another university this summer (Rutgers Newark) after receiving C+,C,C respectively in them. I plan on retaking General Biology I and II next year (my senior year) after getting Cs in them. These were my only Cs on my Transcript as all these pre req courses were taken my fresh year (besides orgo) and I totally did not know how to study. I am done with my major and this would be my best time to take them before I apply next year. Good idea or bad? My Health profession office always look down upon it when I mention retakes in classes I got a C in.

I would leave the C+ in Gen Chem and re-take the Orgo's, not necessarily because they're C's (mostly everyone has a C or two... or three...) but because it will help you for MCAT prep. How strong are you in gen chem though? Would this also help you?

Just don't think having a C or two on your record will kill your chances at osteopathic schools... don't kill yourself in the process trying to cram information and retake these classes.

Yeah well one of the reasons why I am retaking these classes is that it will be good prep for the MCAT.

Yeah just retake the orgos then retake the gen chem and the gen bios in the next semesters. Why did you get so many Cs? Are you SURE you want to become a doctor? There is other stuff out there.... Have you looked into it?
