Is transitioning to long term care difficult for retail pharmacist?

My only experience is in retail setting. I'm currently looking for part-time position in long-term care (Ex: Omnicare or Pharmerica) in addition to my full-time retail position. How difficult is it to work in LTC with no experience? How long is the training process? Is there a big learning curve like inpatient hospital position?

Yes, your gluteal muscles will need training for all the setting around you will be doing. 😉

Only the IV and TPNs will be new to you. Easy.
