Has anyone who has interviewed at UNLV in January or later received any info whether or not you've been accepted/rejected/waitlisted? Or is "the committee has not yet reached a decision on your file" an answer others are getting?

Phone call example:

YOU: "Hi, my name is Joey Buttafuco, just wanted to check my status."
UNLV:"Hold on...it says here they committee has not yet made a decision on your file."
YOU: "Oh...so, when should I call back?"
UNLV: "Call back in a month and we can tell you then."
(ONE MONTH LATER)

YOU: "Hi, me again. What's my status?"
UNLV: "The committee has yet to make a decision on your file."
YOU: "Uh...."
UNLV: "Call back in a month, after the next committee meeting and we can tell you then."

once they guy, once the girl...this last time I called they said they havent even scheduled their next adcom meeting to fill more spots, so I should call back in 2 more weeks to find out when that is so I can wait another month for their meeting and hopefully a decision...i hate waiting.

I interviewed Feb 02 and got accepted 2 weeks ago. They are only interviewing for the waitlist right now, you know that right?

you are probably on the waiting list now becuase they sent out their last acceptance letters about 2 weeks ago. the guy in the admissions office, steve, told me that there are 15 people confirmed on the waiting list. they have three more rounds of interviews to go, meaning about 40 more people will be on the waiting list.

sorry to say, but looks like you are either on the alternative list or they dropped your app. does your AADSAS status show any change?

I interviewed back in January, and I've had the same phone conversations month after month now. The last time I called the girl said, "Well you are an out of stater and so that's going to make it rough for you." So that sucks, but what can ya do. She also said that nothing was decided on my file yet and that I'd be able to call back at the end of the month. again!!!
At this point I'm pretty much set on Tufts, but still I keep thinking about how perfect UNLV would be for my family and stuff and I get my hopes up. ah well I guess I'll know for sure soon enough.
Is this true about UNLV filling all their spots? Are they just concidering people for the alt list now? Dr. Ancajas made it sound like they might still send out some acceptances along with some waitlist notifications. This was last week when she wrote me.

Yep.... same experience here. I know that all future interviews will be for the alt list, but I was hoping that they still had a couple spots open for those who interviewed earlier.

I've had a similar experience, but at least I have been told that I am on the waiting list. Anyone have any idea how many people make it into unlv from the waitlist? if they just sent the last round of acceptances two weeks ago, then the waitlisters may be hearing something soon.

I was waitlisted last year and I didn't get in. From what I understand, it totally depends on the year. Last year they took barely any off the list whereas earlier years they did. The best you can do is ride their asses and show you want in more than any mf on the waiting list. The thing that will be different this year however is they have a 2nd 500$ deposit due by June 1. This probably means they'll have a pretty good idea of who's committing to them and who's not. Good Luck, waiting is a biatch, I know!

I interviewed in October and just recently rejected. They updated my AADSAS "Application Denied". Funny...I at least made the waitlist last year. Must be more competitive this year.

I feel ya. Last year, according to them, I was at the top of the waitlist and the only reason I wasn't accepted was because I applied so late.

I was in one of their first interview groups this cycle and assumed I would get an early acceptance, but I didn't until just recently. It is much more competitive at UNLV this year.
