Is using KAPLAN Notes much more efficient for Step 1?

Hey guys, everybody I've talked to has raved about this thing called KAPLAN Notes for Step 1. I'm having trouble getting my hands on them and am instead using First Aid and selected A-level books listed in the back of First Aid (BRS path, BRS physio, etc) as well as the recommended questions sources (Qbank, Qbook, etc).

So I'm wondering if not using KAPLAN Notes is going to put me at a disadvantage or if my studying would be more efficient if I just used the KAPLAN Notes in conjunction with the question sources instead of the different recommended review books?

The Kaplan notes are good. However, after taking the test, I found that a great deal of the information the USMLE is asking is NOT in the Kaplan notes. I do not think it is their fault. I think they do as well as anybody and try really hard to have all the high yield information. What does happen is..... the material asked about on the USMLE can be very strange and I cannot even find the answers online or in any text book. First Aid is very good and the Kaplan notes can cause you to get lost in the forrest and cannot find a tree.

Take care..
