I read somewhere on this forum that we cannot bring pencils, scratch paper, calculators, and water to the test, but I was wondering if they provide calculators. and what about granola bars? how are we supposed to eat them if we cannot bring them with us? also for the gen chem section, we should memorize all the equations that we need, right - they aren't gonna give us a formula sheet? and would it be ok to bring a watch so that we can keep track of time?
I got my dat in a few weeks and I am getting nervous 🙁

Watch: There's a timer on the screen. You don't need a watch.
Pencil/Paper: You're given a dry-erase marker and a dry-erase "board." They won't let you use pen/pencil/paper.
Granola Bar: Before you take the test, they'll have you leave all your belongings in a small locker (12" x 12"). You can put your snacks/drinks there and have it during your 15 minute break.
Calculator: It's provided. It's not a hand-held calculator but you'll see a box that says "Calculator" on the screen (only in the QR section) and you click on this to use the same basic Microsoft calculator that you have on your personal computer.

let me put it this way, they make you take EVERYTHING that you bring with you (watch, wallet, pencils paper, granola bars, calculator) and put it in a locker. I walked in the test room with nothing but the clothes on my back, (and the erase marker+2 erase boards that they gave me)

no formula sheet cause then it would be too easy lol, plus if you are familiar with the problems then u shouldn't need one, and for eating, you prob could open up ur locker during ur 15 min break and eat ur granola bar (but only outside the test room of course), just make sure u get back to your seat b4 15 min is over, cause other wise the test starts w/ out you 😵

Also, I'd suggest to not rely on the test's on-screen calculator too much. Imagine your windows calculator program except you can't use the numberpad so you have to click everything, AND it's glitchy/buggy/laggy. Sometimes you'll click a 0 and it won't register, if you're trying to input 19000, make sure you didn't enter 1900.

Just learn to figure out shortcuts to getting the answers with minimal scratch work and computations.
