You've got to want it bad to be up at 2am doing MCAT prep because it's the only time the house is quiet enough to get work done.

Wait--what's that I hear? Oh, that's the baby fussing. So much for studying. :scared:

Does anyone else feel my pain? 😳

It 2:07am now and i just watched a baby being born. Sweet life.

What does one do after seeing the birth of one's child?

Check out student doctor, of course!

You'd be surprised what women do after giving birth. One woman popped out her 5th baby with only 2 pushes and <20 minutes even inside the hospital. After I delivered the placenta all she wanted to do was take pictures with us. She then asked to go home and I'm not sure she was entirely kidding.

Or, you assumed I am a dude who watched my woman give birth? Silly.

The second one. Yeah OK I'm silly. But I didn't have my coffee yet!

I have twin 4 year olds during the day, and the other three are back at 3pm to run amok. Yeah I feel your pain. Trying to study for the MCAT with 5 boys fighting all day is impossible. I usually wait until they are all asleep to get any real work in. Everyone has their own struggle... this is mine.

Ouch! I am so not a man.

And ftr, if I was a man, I would NOT be on sdn immediately after the birth of my child.

When my wife was giving birth, I was absolutely starving... I saw an opened pack of fruit Mentos on the shelf and couldn't resist... That went over like a fart in church.

Yeah... Everyone knows Facebook needs to be updated first 😛

 I actually updated FB 1st thing after I had my son last year. It was just easier than dealing with individual texts. My mom thought it was pretty pathetic.

I feel you! I've got an 18 month old and a 5 year old. Both boys. The toddler still doesn't sleep through the night. Consequently, neither do I.

I sent out a mass text shortly after my second was born. I was super excited because I had a successful VBAC but he had to visit the special care nursery for a couple hours due to meconium aspiration so I had time to kill. Everything happened so fast that most didn't even know that I had gone into labor, let alone had him, so I felt obligated to send an early morning text detailing the specs of my uber large baby and how he was born. I'm a dork.

Something similar happened to me after my third was born last fall. Similar birth experience (barely got into the hospital before he was born). I didn't want to take pictures, though. I wanted to get dressed and take a jog. Seriously. I settled for walking all over the maternity wing.
