Was really struggling these last few weeks in dedicated. I tried doing other things to take my mind off of it, but I have a month before my exam, and UWorld is killing me. There is no way out/that I can ace step 1.

you all will make amazing physicians. Thanks for all the advice and help, but this is it for me, I’m broken. <3

Hi, I'm not a medical student yet and haven't had any luck getting in this cycle. I was just quenching my neuroticism by checking the forums and came across your post. I haven't taken step so I can't tell you that I know what it feels like and I have no Idea how hard it is. Just wanted to send some support out to you and your studying. You getting to that point is already a testament to your hard work, and it's inspiring. Keep your head up and send a PM if you need some moral support!

You are an incredibly valuable person, regardless of your relationship to medicine. However, since you made it this far, I also know you are highly intelligent, motivated, and overall very capable. Take a break, treat yourself, you totally deserve it! Spend some time with a friend, family member, or a pet. You do not need to ace step. You just need to pass. And you don't even have to pass it right now. If you are not feeling ready to take it, then you have so many options. You will make it. You made it this far. Best of luck. Please feel free to message me if you want to talk.

If you can delay step 1 and take it P/F, that’s great. In any case, please get help for your mental/emotional distress. We want you to stay safe!

I'm a pretty average student. I was devastated when I got like, 215 to 220 on all my NBMEs. It was awful. I tred to keep up with small but steady work. Ultimately I ended up getting a 230. Definitely felt like I was hitting my limit.

I don't know what your goals are or what your practice tests are.

For dedicated my advice is to pace yourself. Do 80 uworld a day, and either do Anki or read a chapter of Pathoma. Set a clear limit for when you're done. Skip the studying on a Friday or Saturday night entirely so you have something to look forward to.

We take self harm very seriously here. Anyone having such thoughts needs to seek immediate help. Closing.
