I tried one, it tasted bad though.

Joking aside, what are the implications/benefits of a 200mg tab? Cheaper?

Nothing more than efficiency and potentially increased compliance really. I tend to use (read: attendings often suggest) a bid dosing; even at differing dosages.

ie 200mg PO Qam; 400mg PO Qhs

This means the patient had to take 6 pills total for the day. And if you're on clozaril, you're likely on other meds too, which becomes complicated for the patient.

You see that certain generics don't have the same efficacy as the brands in certain cases, and was wondering if the pharmacokinetics of this formulation would have been different in peoples' experience.

Then again, it only came out recently, so it may be too early to tell.
