...well, not exactly...

But I do feel like an idiot - I just bought an NBME Self-Assessment that I already took (on Monday, too). Wonder if they can refund me somehow? Otherwise that's $60 down the drain.

It's just $60. In the big scheme of how much you've already paid for Step 1 stuff and how much you'll pay for Step 2 and beyond, it's just $60. How long until your test? If they don't allow you to exchange/refund, just use it closer to your test. Worst case scenario is that you'll get more practice sitting through 4 hours of the test and maybe get a little confidence boost.

Sell it to a classmate if they won't refund it; but the NBME might be cool with a refund, especially if you are trying to exchange it for another test.
