I just received and interview for early January. I was wondering if this interview is for a waitlist spot or if there are still spots available for the incoming class. Thanks

Depends on the school, if they're rolling/non-rolling, if they have already accepted a good number of people, etc. Check the school-specific thread to see what the outcome has been lately. I interviewed at a school in February and got accepted, so not all winter interviews end in waitlist, but like I said, it all depends on the school and how their admissions cycle functions.
