Hi all,
I need small(big) help via your suggestions..I am USMLE WORLD subscriber. I am going to purchase DELL Inspiron i3 or i5 or i7 model. I heard that those laptops do NOT support java? Is this correct. If i purchase those model laptops with i3 or i5 or i7 then can i get usmle world qbanks or usmle (nbme)free sample150qs etc.

Both usmle and usmle world needs java because both needs FRED-2...so please tell whether i3/i5/i7 support java or not...can i get usmle/usmleworld in i3/i5/i7 laptops??? plz help me its urgent...

First of all, the processor itself has nothing to do with running java. It's the OS, and they all run java. So, buy whatever you want.
Second of all, this has nothing to do with Step 1. A simple google search could have given you your answer.

Hi..thanks but it relates to step-1 and usmle exams indirectly...we all needs UW Q bank for exam prep...ok on this issue the OS with windows 7 inbuilt it will support java? or shall we take intel i5 NO OS so that we can format anuthing we need later

I have googled but no answers relating this..if anything you have plz share and thanks a lot for help.
anyone with intel i5(dell inspiron 15R with windows 7) have UW qbank running?

I have a newer model Sony laptop with an I5 processor and running on Windows 7, and UWorld works just fine. I have not encountered any problems with UWorld or any other Java programs. Personally I see nothing wrong with your question and didn't think it warranted that type of response. Hope this helps.

Not sure why this dickish response was needed.

I have a win7/i5 and it works perfectly okay. You should be alright.

Like has already been said, you will have no problems running java on any of those machines, regardless of if it's an i3/i5/i7.

Get whichever you wan with what flavor of windows OS you want (or basically any OS).
