Jeff Shuttle?

Ill be attending Jeff next year and was wondering the best way to get there everyday from the art museum area. Its not near a sub and Id rather not bike it through city traffic. Is there a shuttle that runs up near me?Thanks for the help!

It might not be near a subway station, but chances are city buses run by it. Check www.septa.org for routes- and try to buy tokens and/or passes through school, they should be cheaper.

In general, the art museum district is kind of isolated from mass transit in the city. I'm sure there are busses, but without an address it's hard to find the route numbers on the SEPTA website. There wouldn't be any rail or subway lines up that way.

You can often times get educational passes through the Universities here, but you're required to buy a pass for several months at a time. If you lose that pass, you're totally screwed, as they will not replace it. Also, it's not that great of a deal. So... I'm not sure I would recommend it myself, but I know people who do.

I'm not sure I would recommend living out that way if you're going to Jeff. There's plenty of places that are more convenient that should be similarly priced. Perhaps Jeff has some sort of shuttle that runs out there, but I don't know of one.

There is a bus, or rather buses. The #38 goes from Center City to the art museum area, and I've taken it. According to the #38 schedule, the #32 goes from the art museum area to Center City. It gets off right by Market East station at Market+11th, which is then 2-3 blocks from Jeff.

I have a #38 schedule in front of me and it runs about 2 buses an hour. The SEPTA website would have more information, now that you have route numbers. It is almost impossible to get bus info from that site without knowing which route you want to take.
