How long does it take to go from JFK to Newark? I have two options:

8:10 am - Newark airport
or
7:00 am - JFK

which should I choose?

I think I should be at New Jersey Univ. at 8:30 am (maybe 9:00 am) - Not quite sure.

You better take the flight to Newark. The ride from JFK is horrendous at that time in the morning. Without traffic, JFK to takes about an hour with traffic add at least another hour or two.

I'll fly out of New York City (JFK) @6:10 pm after my New Jersey interview. Can I get to JFK just on time??? I think my interview ends around 2:30 pm (maybe 3 pm). Does anyone know if there is heavy traffic around 2:30 pm? Can I get to JFK using the subway? I thought JFK is close to Newark when I purchased my return ticket.

NJ Transit train from Newark to Penn Station. At Penn Station, get on the "E" subway train and take it all the way to the almost end where you transfer to an airtrain that takes to straight to JFK. I would have about 2 hours on hand to do this trip safely. I think there are also buses at Newark that go from Newark to JFK, but you should ask at the airport.
