On a job interview when they say they will reimburse interview costs - how much should that be before it reflects bad on you. Is $700-800 reasonable for a three day trip with airfare, hotel and/or car. If family comes, does it look bad to show receipts of the wife's airline ticket? What do most people do?

If you are applying for a job that gets uppity over a 700 bucks they are going to write off anyway, walk away.

Realize this: most associates who probably get paid 150K wtih 4 weeks of vacation and another 4K or so in CME money are making TWO TO THREE TIMES that amount for the group.
