Depends, depends, depends but people from my program in the midwest are having no problems finding jobs and laying out what type of practice they want. I would guess location would make a big difference here.

I'm working. Job market's fine for me. 😀

It's very region-specific and job type-specific, What region do you want and what type of job (academic, inpatient wards, outpaitent clinics, sports etc).

Hey Kumar, I'm not trying to hijack your thread, but in response to JitterBug, for my situation I'm interested in the southeast and mid southwest. Looking for either inpatient and outpatient/MSK. Don't like EMG. What would be your opinion for this?

If you want to work anywhere remotely desirable you will have to be a narc refiller and Ortho spine slave/interventional factory.
Send me your emgs!

im sure you could find a cushy kaiser job there that'll pay around 125K....

I've found the job market in the west (including Calfornia, Southern and Northern and Coloraddo, Denver and Boulder) to be pretty saturated and very competitive...and it's not so easy to land one of those "kush" Kaiser jobs out here either. You may have better luck in the AZ, TX or Portland,Or markets should you be interested in staying in the "west".

Good luck.
