Is there a special way to record your hours of shadowing?

If you are a dental assistant already do you still have to shadow?

just make a little excel spreadsheet at home and record it that way. when you ask your dentist for a LOR be sure that he/she includes the hours.

and if you're a DA, to me it seems like a waste of time to shadow a lot. however, it may benefit you to shadow another dental specialty aside from what you've already worked with

Thats what I was thinking. I just didnt know if there was a more legit way to record them. Thanks!

This. All of the experiences that you put down are based on the honesty policy. Schools do not require a "proof of shadowing" form or anything like that, so don't worry about it.
