I am applying to medical school this year. I was offered a position as a pharm tech. Can anyone tell me how this will look to an adcom? I have shadowing, volunteering, MCAT, etc.

Basically, I need a job. Though, I think drugs are awesome, and I would totally work in research designing drugs.

I think that a position as a pharm tech is med-school relevant and that you can learn a lot about pharmaceuticals (if you apply yourself) and patient counseling (if included in the job description). I suggest you also continue with some volunteer community service during the application year.
