I am finishing anesthesiology residency in 1 month and 27 days , but i'm not counting 😀
then i head out to a pain medicine fellowship.
I am looking for a job that is mainly pain with anesthesia mixed in. I am guessing i either join an anesthesia group that has pain docs on the side and get mixed up in the call pool or join a private/academic or academic center.

anyone have any advice about this? Ideally i hit up pain 3-4 days a week and 1-2 days of anesthesia to keep my skills and my original love. $$$ is all that matters, not location (Thanks Jet for the advice! One of your pearls!)..
I don't know whether I should look for jobs now or during fellowship. Look through headhunters or through medtronics, or through word of mouth..

I am the only doctor in my family (i am the dumb one) so any advice is helpful. Thanks👍

I’m at the other end of the spectrum, and just started my residency....I’ve contemplated going into pain, and was curious if u had any recommendations or things u wish u new years ago...

Try posting this in the pain forum as well; Those fellows might have some great insight, although they probably read here as well. Good luck with your job hunt.
