Join National Dean's List or not?

I'm taking answers from both sides. Is it worth it?

I don't remember if it is free or not. I was offered it a few years ago but they sent the letter to my parent's house and I didn't get it till after the deadline to apply.

It is free to join, but you have to pay for the book and other things.

Then I'd join and not worry about getting the book.

That's what I did for Who's Who. If it's free why not? Plus it's something to add to a CV.

it won't hurt you, but it's not gonna help you any either.

I hate to say it, but no adcom will probably care. Fill out the form if you want, but dont' send for any book.

I didn't really care.. it was free, and I have dean's list from MY school.
