I have 2 questions:

1.How true is it that if you want your dental application to be considered early, JULY 15TH is the unofficial deadline to complete & submit your AADSAS application?

2.For those who have taken the DAT and are happy with their scores, what was the least amount of time it took you to study for the entire exam? (2 weeks, 4 weeks, 6 weeks?...etc)

JULY 15TH is fast approaching and I am shaking in my non-existent BOOTS!!! 😱

1. that is not true. u r considwred early as long as u apply before end of august.

2. i studied about 2 weeks for the DAT after class. easy stuff.

Ok...there is hope.

I could see that somewhat being true b\c if you submit JULY 15th your GPA will not be verified til later (possibly 4-6 weeks) which could carry over into late august.

Having everything VERIFIED by July 15th certainly isn't late. However, it takes a while for your GPA to get calculated. I'd try to have everything SUBMITTED by July 15th if possible.

I took about 12 weeks to study for my DAT. 10 probably would have been just as acceptable.

This early/late business is a bit of SDN craziness, as long as your submitted by September you're fine.

I took some practice tests 2 days before the dat to get used to the format and timing and that's all I did.

While I agree with you on the SDN craziness, September is actually pushing it a little bit. That means assuming worst case scenario, your GPA gets verified 6 weeks later which is well into October when many interviews have already been long done.
