Taking my MCAT for the first time on July 12 and applying to Texas schools this cycle, hope it's not too late...anyone else in the same boat?

I didn't take the July MCAT, but I sent in my app late August, which is when you should get your score back. It sucks because everyone else will be talking about getting interviews invites, but I didn't start getting them until November. Also I was pretty much interviewing for the match instead of the prematch because my interview dates were so late, so there were less open spots 🙁

It's pushing it. You're not going to get your score back until the middle of August (ergo, your app won't be complete until then), so that's edging into "late" territory. Granted, it's not the kiss of death, especially if you rock the MCAT and have a solid app otherwise.
As best as you can, get the rest of your primary submitted ASAP (by mid-June at the latest, that way TMDSAS can process your transcripts and whatnot), and get your secondary essays pre-written (hopefully they're the same as in the 2013-2014 School Specific threads {I'm not sure why the mods haven't made 2014-2015 threads yet, but I expect they are busy with school}), that way as soon as TMDSAS gets your score, they'll pass it onto the schools, the schools will send you secondaries, you'll fill them out, and start getting interviews!
