Howdy, I just wanted to see how many people there are taking the exam this month and have a little support group.

I'm finishing up Chads Chem and reading Cliffs right now. I still need to say hello to OChem 🙁

I'm taking the DAT for the second time on July 27, may that glorious day be over soon!

Taking it the 30th! It's such a weird feeling being nervous for two months haha. Finished Chad's Videos, Read KBB once, just finished Cliffs, did Destroyer 1.5 timesish for Orgo/GenChem annnnnd now reviewing my outlines. Fret not, Ochem goes extremely fast, I havent even taken Ochem2 and it was a breeze with Chad's. Just saving my practice tests until a week or two before and about to purchase CrackPAT and skim through Chad's videos again. EEEEEEK

For QR I finished KBBs math review and will be starting to do Math Destroyer. I haven't even touched into the PAT again yet after the my DAT experience last year (darn you Kaplan for giving me a false hope with angle rankings last year), but will be attacking this through KBBs review and then doing CDP.

I feel that I have enough time until the exam, I just need to get this review period over with and start doing Destoryer and TopScore to gauge everything.

I've only been really studying for the last two weeks and it sucks worrying everyday about this haha. That's good to hear about Ochem, I surprised myself last year with a decent score on it with fewer reviewing day than I had hooed. You seem to be almost ready to take the exam it looks like!

Haha, it seems like it kinda when reading what I posted, but I am nowhere mentally prepared, which I feel is a big factor.

Taking the test on July 26th

DAT destroyer - did 4 times gchem
AP cliffs - read it 3 times so far
CDP - did each test twice each time so far averaging 21s (TFE and pattern folding are my enemies)
QR - I'm just understanding every single type of problem from the math destroyer. there are only so many type of problems they can give
RC - May god help me on that section. I don't even know what to do...
ochem - going to buy chads this week and get it over with within a week. I'm good with the basics but I want ochem and g chem to be perfect.

I also have achiever, which is THE worst program ever made. It is so effing hard and the real test won't be close to it. so if any1 is thinking of buying it, save your money (this is just my opinion).

p.s. Any advice for the TFE and pattern folding? the line counting method does NOT work on the real DAT. You won't be able to eliminate any choices.

folding is a bit harder this year. i used the cross method on youtube. works pretty well

So I'm not a traditional student. I'm married, dogs, house, etc. Quite a few distractions to be honest.

I've been studying as much as possible for the last month, planning on taking the DAT at the end of this month, latest mid-August.

I've read AP bio (thought it was good), doing the Kap review (in class <-- don't recommend, not worth extra $)(but the online aspect is good), purchased the CDP Ace edition and probably will upgrade to Royal Flush (great product and if DAT PAT is like this, holy ****. Still got a 20 on 1st practice test). Have also read the KBB on gen chem and OC. OC needs to be addressed more. And I also have the DAT Destroyer and Math Destroyer which has not been utilized too much yet.

I feel I have the materials, not sure about time... Oh, did I mention I'm taking a summer session of genetics to boot?

Chem / chad destroyer, any other sources to practices G Chem ?
Ochem/ chad Destroyer, o-chem edge from kamplan
PAT CDP? I cant count guys!!!!! I can only get the 8/15 right for the cube pb.... no matter what I do. Any tricks guys?
QR math destroyer 1 X going through STAT pb..hated it

1. when do most people make their DAT appoinment, like a month before taking, more or less?

2. do you get the results the same day or later?

3. Do people take a semester off to study or study while taking their classes?

1) Usually appointments are made right after getting your DAT eligibility letter, if you plan on taking it within the next few months. This is because the earlier you make an appointment the more time slots and days you have available to choose from.

2) You get your results right after taking a survey, so youre relaxing a little as you fill it out and then BAM in your face, all 20+ 👍

3) It really depends on the person. The first time I took it, I was in summer school and this time I'm just focused on the DAT. I have known people that do science classes and use that as a supplement to their studying, but I would hate the pressure of knowing I have finals AND the DAT.

Yeah, I'm taking it this monday... I'm kind of freaking out. No matter what, I keep staying in the 17-19 range on Bio... Orgo's a bit better (ironically) I'm around 21-22 on that but Gen Chem... ugh...

I was planning on taking 26 but thinking of postponing it to august first week. Do you guys think that it might go to second round for selection and make it difficult to get interviews if we take the test in first week of august.
