Just applied to Dominican College DPT program...

I have recently applied to the Dominican College DPT program and I received an email that read "We would like to invite you to meet with us on Tuesday, December 10th at 10:00am for approximately five hours. At this time, you will learn about our Program’s policies and requirements, participate in a group interview and a FAQ session and be given a tour of our facilities. We are going to take this opportunity to learn about you and for you to learn about the Dominican Difference. Here are some Program highlights."

I have already attended this college for two semesters and I am already aware of the subjects discussed in the email such as touring the facilities and learning about the program's policies and requirements.

Now the subject line read interview December 10th, but I just wanted to know if this is really an interview or more like an open house type of event???

It is just a different way of interviewing and it is mandatory to attend for the entire time. You’ll be split into groups that will each have an interview session, an information session, and a mock lecture with a quiz.

i had given them a call earlier this morning and they said that they don't conduct interviews until after the deadline which is on March 2nd. I'm a little confused! Mind giving me a rundown of how your process went?

That’s interesting. They might be holding off certain interviews until after the deadline at this point in time. Basically, they will contact you if you are eligible for an interview. After having attended the interview, they will give you a time from on when you will hear back which will vary. Do you want to know more specifically about the interview?
