Just completed SMP. Should I apply this cycle with a low MCAT or apply next cycle?

Hello I wanted to get your opinion on whether or not I should apply to DO schools this cycle or retake my MCAT and apply next cycle.

My mcat was 498(2015): 129 121 124 124
493(Jan 2016): 125 123 123 122

UGPA: 3.19 Usgpa:2.9
SMP GPA: 3.63

Ethnicity: white

I worked as a case manager for a year and half have shadowing and research experience. Also, I am a NJ resident. Would I be competitive for RowanSOM/NOVA/VCOM/Lecom/PCOM/CUSOM/WVSOM(dont have a letter)?

Retake your Mcat and apply next cycle.
I'm sure you know that you are expected to have a decent score increase after completing a smp. Right now, I don't think you are competitive for any of those schools.

I agree. Even with the SMP results, your MCAT score would be lethal at my school and others.

Do you think I have a chance at any of the DO schools even the recent ones? I was planning to take the MCAT in July but didnt take it as my practice exam scores were still low. Im currently planning to retake in January. Would applying in august be late for DO? I went to Rutgers and I heard schools like NOVA are very fond of Rutgers for some reason.
