DAT is finally over for me!
Here is the score I got:
AA: 24 99.8%
PAT:20 95.5%
QR: 23 97.9%
RC: 18 53.2% 🙁
Bio: 23 99.4%
GC: 27 100% 🙂
OC: 27 100% 🙂
Total Science: 26 99.9%
Overall, the exam is not as difficult as I expect, especially for PAT. I got 17 on acethedat exams and I thought I was going to screw up the PAT. It turns out that the real dat is easier than acethedat.
Advice for some angle comparison problems: some angle has one of its leg parallel with one of the leg of another angle. Just compare the other leg to see which one is bigger.
After finishing the science portion, I was planning to take the break. Then I accidentally click on the "Continue" button. This forced me to finish the rest without a break. I was dizzy and hungry. I thought I might pass out. I cannot concentrate on the reading and math. That makes me scores so low. Otherwise, I should get a higher score on both reading and math. I took the GRE and I score 800 (100%) on math. Well, I shouldnot complain with these scores.
For bio, the types of questions are completely different with the kinds in Topscore. I cannot tell why. It just differed! I have one easy classification
question. The whole section is pretty straightforward.
For PAT, the pat in acethedat is definitely a need for practicing.
Other parts are similar to topscore.

I would like to thank you for the folks in this forum. They are generous to share their experience with others. I learned a lot from their advice.

I am wondering if it is too late to apply for dental schools now. I still haven't sent out the dental application because a humiliated defeat in MCAT completely destroyed my confidence( I probably will take the MCAT again next year). Any suggestion?

Congrats dude. Those are impressive scores. So, out of curiousity, what standardized exam HAVEN'T you taken? 😉

congrats on your great score! i took mine a week ago and got the following results:

AA: 23 98.4%
PAT: 21 93.1%
QR: 24 97.6%
RC: 24 95.3%
Bio: 22 96.5%
GC: 23 93.8%
OC: 23 93.9%
TS: 22 96.6%

A couple of questions. I'm wondering why your PAT and QR percentages are higher than mine. I must be missing something. Shouldn't the percentages be comparable? And shouldn't my TS score be 23?? I must be missing another thing. Anyone know why? Is the Bio score weighted more or something? I really doubt they're typos but who knows.

yea the angles really sucked. Wish I knew your advice before hand =(

I'm also wondering if its too late to apply. Anybody have any advice?

I need to stay out of this thread...the science scores in here are overloading my system.

I will be taking the DAT for the second time in 5 years ....in just 10 days... the first time I got decent scores
RC18
PAT 19
GC 20
Chem 21
OC 23
but
QC 16

Scores that I would have love to utilized then and now but due to "things" I had to bail out of application plans.... until now... since scores are a bit older... I have to retake... but my question for this thread is.........

Did you notice an unusually high amount of Trig questions??? Thats all that I remembered... I think thats why I ....if memory serves me correct.... got the lower score... ??? any input would be much appreciated... thanks all!

Yes. I got many Trig questions. The percentage is comparable to topscore. If you do well on topscore, then you will be no problem with the real thing.

Hello, bigbevo34! Your score looks even better than mine. Congrats to you! I don't know why those two percentages are higher than yours. But I do see some other people have same score as mine and receive same percentage like me. But those are awesome scores. I am sure there is nothing to worry about those small differences.

Hi, sinned! About your question, just like other folks suggest, I used Barron and acethedat for PAT. Kaplan blue book for the rest. Schaum's outlines of biology supplements the bio. I do have some prior knowledge from Examkracker's books when I studied for the MCAT.

I only took a few exams: GRE, MCAT and DAT. I still have a long way to finish other exams such as LSAT and GMAT. 🙂

why are you taking all these exams? just curious. Don't you think that if adcoms for any professional school find out that you taken all these exams, that it shows no indication of which profession you want to go into. That could hurt your chances of getting into school.

Great scores by the way, I wish I had them.

there's a reason about the perecentages being different even if you get the same score but i dont really want to get into it cuz it's been discussed multiple times. just know that percentages don't mean anything...it's the real scores that count...and for the TS score, i'm pretty sure the bio section is weighted more....or at least there are more quesions on that section (40 compared to 30 for the chems).

great job on the dat's too! 👍
