Sorry all, I am new to this site, and I apologize if this has been a topic that has been discussed before. I currently work as a Paramedic, and have been looking towards furthering my education and bettering myself, with that being said I have been wanting to pursue Med School. However, I spent my first couple of semesters in college (community college) having "way too much fun," for lack of better terms and have the grades to prove it. Between an F and a couple of D's and the numerouse Withdraws I have, do I even have a chance at getting into Med School. I still have to go back to school for my Bachelors, and don't even have my Associates, my current GPA is 2.8, which could be much better, especially if I had the motivation then that I have now. Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Take advantage of the grade replacement offered by osteopathic schools, get back in school and work hard. Rock the MCAT. Plenty of people have been in a similar position and succeeded.

What would be the reality of getting into a traditional Med School instead of Osteopathic?

Everyone makes mistakes when they were " not motivated". Rock as close to a 4.0 as you can for the remainder of the classes to achieve your BS ( or BA or whatever) and study hard to get above a 30 on your MCAT and you will have a good chance at a MD school. It really is totally up to you, if you want it bad enough, you will find a way to achieve it.
Best of :luck: to you 👍
