guys just took the DAT and this was my score

PA : 19 : 63%
QR : 17 : 62%
RC : 19 : 53%
Bio : 20 : 87%
che : 20 : 76%
org : 25 : 97%
Total science : 21 : 90%
Academic Avg : 20 : 84%

this scores any good?
Science GPA: 3.29

please help I am freaking out, I don't even know which schools to apply. I am in New Jersey, was thinking of UMDNJ but i know its extremely competitive.

Great scores! GPA is just like mine so lets hope we hear something good from NJDS! By the way, I noticed a 25 in organic is 90th %?! thats ridiculous...it should be higher. When I took my DATs the first time, I got a 25 in organic and it was 98%

I think those percentages are based on the number you got correct, depending on the exam you took, when you took it, and against whom you took it.

Yeah I already submitted my application. I think you have a chance at NJDS even though GPA is kind of low. But you never know...admissions process is a toss up. I'd recommend applying to schools that have relatively lower GPAs like NYU or BU. There is a sticky in this forum that great helps in figuring out which schools to apply to, which are OOS friendly, etc etc so you might want to take a look at that. If you are applying, I suggest you apply early since most schools are on a rolling admissions basis

i am applying through the pre dental health professions office. I honestly don't really care where I get in. Harvard would be awesome. I have a bachelors from Melbourne Australia. I worked 20 to 30 hours while I was taking those courses from Rutgers. I am kinda of sick of doing Undergrad courses, I need the real thing.

I know how it feels. But I think your numbers are good enough if you apply early and broad. Harvard is a long shot in my opinion. In the end, it only takes one school to accept you! keep your hopes up and it's all good.

I applied to 13 schools in total. Take a look at my predents profile..it has 11 of them and 2 new schools: USN and LECOM.

I have an interview scheduled. But definitely get in your application ASAP! like by the end of this week. Because it will take like 4 weeks for AADSAS to verify your GPA and such, so you app will probably get mailed out end of September..your are still in the game if you send it this week, imo. Then, pay the application fees to get the ball rolling and submit any supplemental apps that schools may have. Good luck! 🙂

Hey, your scores aren't bad, but they could def use some improvement. I heard from spending too much time on SDN that RC (and bio, for obvious reasons) are the two most important sections that schools look at. Also, although QR is relatively unimportant, schools have cutoffs so your app might get rejected before it's even reviewed. All in all, I suggest a retake, because I think you can do much better! what study materials did you use, by the way?
