After so many people telling me that I would be discouraged when I saw dentistry up close and personal, it was the great! I had the joy of experiencing a sedation this morning with a 4 year old, root canal, a crown being made, a little ortho here and there, and so many fillings I'm still seeing holes! I'm shadowing my family dentist and his office is pretty large and fairly busy, but I feel like I'm in the classroom because he explains the procedures to me without talking down to me. He also allows me to get up close, though I must imagine it is slightly awkward for some of the adult patients 😀. The best part is he informed me that I'll get the chance to assist, and we all know how great that is. I'm just so thrilled, had to share for all those predents still searching for someone to shadow; its all worth it! :luck:

Anyone else shadowing this summer? Volunteering?
