Just in general, what type of gpa and dat score should one Try to obtain in order to be a strong canidate. Of course, it varies with the person, and I understand that the higher the stats the better chance. But in general, what is competitive to most dental schools. My school implies that predents with a 3.4 are competitive, is this about right.

If you have a 3.4 you will be competitive at most schools. (with the exception of schools like Harvard) A DAT score in the twenties will also be considered a good score.

Hi,
Good to see your from Connecticut.
A gpa of 3.4 and DAT scores of 20 or above and you are a great candidate. As far as the gpa goes, if you have a lower gpa but show a gradual increase then that will be taken into account.
Tim.
