Just like for the step 1, is there a good book to use for the wards/step2?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
No, there are good review books for each of the shelf exams--these can be found in their respective threads. But there is no single source that's useful for each rotation. The Kaplan notes would probably be the closest thing. The most important thing is to supplement your studying by reading the uptodate articles on your patients and other impt diseases for each specialty.

Here's a list of books I used and found helpful (did very well on each shelf).

IM--step up to medicine, nms casebook, mksap
Surg--nms casebook, Kaplan notes
Obgyn--blueprints, case files, uwise questions
Psych--FA, Lange questions, pretest
Peds--Kaplan, blueprints
Neuro--I only used case files
Family med--case files

Another key is to find good practice questions for each rotation. Lots of people use UW or Qbank, I used Qbook and other random question sources. As an aside, pretest is usually awful.
