I am new to this site and these forums. I found out about this site from a friend of mine who has already been admitted to vet school (MSU) as chance may have it. I've spent the last week or so browsing the site before actually deciding to join. I too am one of the many vet school hopefuls. This is my 2nd time applying, and first time applying to more than one school. I live in NC and naturally N.C. State is my first choice. This year, I applied to Auburn, VMRCVM, LSU, and N.C. State. So far LSU and VMRCVM have delcined me. I have an interview at Auburn next week (so excited and nervous!). I honestly never thought I would be fortunate enough to be chosen to interview. I have spent a lot of time looking at the stats of the out of state students who apply to these schools and well...I'm just surprised. I really shouldn't have applied to LSU looking back on it b/c I really never had a chance there. I have done a mock interview (which was recorded) and done interview counseling. I'm just SOOOOOO nervous. I see this as my only shot of getting in as I'm not putting my eggs in the N.C. State basket just yet. Due to the nature in which their admissions works, it's basically out of your hands after you submit the application.
One of the things I like most about this site is the interview feedback section and these open discussion forums. It's nice to share in peoples triumphs and struggles. It helps to put things in perspective for me. Thanks for reading this little ramble of mine and please excuse the grammar/punctuation.
