I wrote down and submitted (7/10/2011) on my primary application that I received a reckless driving conviction 6 years ago!! which was a 1st class misdemeanor in my state. I noticed that I put 76 mph in a 55 when it was actually 96 mph in a 55. I have no idea why I put 7 instead of a 9 and now I'm really paranoid. On my background check it will probably come up as 96 and I don't want schools to feel like I was lying. I mean I disclosed the reckless driving conviction to be honest but the speed was honestly an error. I also thought that the fine was 250 $ off the top of my head. I mean I honestly couldn't recall what the fine was and it turns out the fine was actually $500.00 When I went on my driving record the proper fine and speed was not listed it was only listed as reckless driving. I found this information out after finding a random court document stashed away. Now I'm panicking, I have a couple interviews and I don't want ADCOM to think I was lying what to do!?
To make things worse a lot of my dates were slightly off by a month or two I mean I pulled all these dates from memory. It was almost impossible to find exact dates to incidences that happened half a decade ago! and to make things even more worst I got into a car accident which I didn't report thinking oh it's a driving infraction but knowing the strict laws in my state it will probably also show up on my background check since I went to jail for it. Seriously what to do? I don't want my negligence/ lack of memory to look like lies!? I am not a criminal at all I just have a bad driving record due to my actions 5-6 years ago when I was a teenager 🙁 Am I in serious trouble now!? I don't want to get accepted to medical school and have my acceptance taken away because of this................................. 🙁(((((((((((((

Troll or dramatic much

Troll or dramatic much

Don't you get your acceptance revoked if you lie or omit certain details in your application especially misdemeanors and convictions? So how is that trolling or being dramatic?

Because nobody is going to care (or probably even know, or even be able to find out) about the exact speed of his ticket thingamajiggy.

Didn't you post about not reporting an accident earlier that qualifies at a misdemeanor in your state? Not looking good for you. Once is an accident but omitting info twice looks like you are trying to cover something up.

lol I just looked at that thread.

OP, just order your background check from Certiphi. You should have an email from AMCAS giving you instructions. Do that and see what med schools will see

Guys I have only omitted out that 1 accident there are NO two accidents. I am talking about the same accident. However, now I have also made an error in the primary where I put 76 in a 55 mph when it came up as 96 mph in a 55 mph zone. And yes these were all reported on Certiphi. I received the report today!!

They get shot by a panel of adcoms when they come in to interview

I sent all the medical schools with an update letter telling them my finding on my self background check.
