When applying, do most applicants have only 90 credits and then recieve their bachelors before matriculating to dental school? Or, do they apply AFTER having ALREADY recieved their bachelors? Let me get some input guys, I want to know where the majority lies!

I think the majority of people apply in their senior year.

I bet the majority does it before they finish their undergraduate degree.. I graduated early with too many credits so i'm one of the other side.

i'm applying post-degree. taking the year off to save some dough and (try to) relax a bit.

jb!

A lot of students in dental school have taken one to a few years off from undergrad and then matricualted into dental school. If you do not plan to take a year off or two, I suggest you apply the summer of your junior year, so by Aug of your graduating year, you are a first year in dental school. As long as you have the degree from your college the credits do not matter, but I think 90 is a minimum.

I think majority of ppl apply after they get their bachelor's...some even go to grad school...i've not heard of too many ppl who apply after completing 90 credits...
I'm applying next year...the summer after I graduate 🙂

I had 193 credit hours before I applied - BSEE and BSCS as well as most of the dental pre-reqs. I am probably not the norm though.

Most of the applicants from Utah apply after the pre-reqs are done and don't even bother with the bachelor's. '

I don't agree with it but there were 20 students from my school last year who got in without a degree. maybe Utah is just different?
