Okay, so I realized after reading a random thread that some people meticulously document every stupid violation they had in the dorms. I was under the impression that these did not count as institution offenses because they are not serious in nature and handled almost entirely by the housing authority.

I had two write ups:
1) Playing sports inside dorm
2) Underage drinking -had to talk to dorm sup and take alcohol.edu course

Also I have 2 traffic violations, one speeding, one driving with only parking lights on.

I don't see how these could be on my record, because my job at the hospital has never mentioned anything. However, I am going to burst a blood vessel in my brain if somehow this is what has kept me out.

Probably just bring paranoid, but the situation is unique in that I did not disclose these things on previous apps and have to decide if it is worth it to disclose them on future applications. I don't want to appear like I was lying previously. I just really had no idea that dorm violations and stupid traffic violations could even be an issue.

In fact, I am kind of irritated that other people disclose these things at all. It's almost like having to write a list to Santa Clause of every naughty thing you did since preschool in order to make sure you are not branded as a liar. I just don't think asking for an insanely anal level of personal information is appropriate and I feel that is a violation of my privacy. I don't want to have to worry about every stupid mistake I made since birth; it's none of AMCAS's business and does not affect my ability as a future physician. There is a reason why certain violations are not permanently documented; it is because these violations are not considered important to an individual's future performance and integrity.

Next AMCAS will be asking:

How many sexual partners have you had?

erm...

When was the time of your first intercourse and with who?

sometime in a football field after prom.

Have you ever engaged in any of the following fetishes:
a) feet
b) fuzzies
c) BSDM

But, I digress, the main point is that I feel like it should be my right to privacy when it comes to matters not related to academic honesty or criminal acts.

Okay, rant over, any one have advice on if I should worry about dorm violations/ traffic tics if I did not disclose them previously?

dont worry to much about it, these are minor things like a traffic violation which indeed is an ordinance violation. if they ask for any criminal or federal offenses, dorm drinking and traffic violation dont count...now if they ask for an disciplinary actions at school (they mean like cheating and stuff) i think you have to include the dorm violation because that was a disciplinary violation..they made you take a class and have your name on the record, im sure you can check that out at the registrar office of your university of on your schools email portal, hope this helps
