Hi all. I just realized today that I mislabeled one of my activities as "Volunteering: Medical/Clinical" when it was supposed to be "Volunteering: Non-Medical Clinical." The activity was 40 hours and the name and description have nothing to do with anything clinical, so I would think it should be obvious to adcoms that it was an honest mistake, but I'm wondering the best course of action.

Would it be a good idea to send emails to admissions departments regarding the mistake? Should I not bring it up and maybe note it in an update letter I send after an interview (if I receive one)?

Will this be a huge issue with my getting any interviews?

I feel really bad that I let this slip and am very discouraged right now about this. Thanks for any advice

I disregard any activity with fewer than 50 hours. So, if it came to my desk, the good news is that I wouldn't care. The bad news is that you "wasted" a W/A spot. Telling me that you miscategorized this would not help you (to me).

Once you've submitted, there's very little you can do. For your well-being, don't go back to read and look for mistakes you've made. You'll end up worrying about it even more then.
