I thought I remember reading somewhere on this forum before about the need to be careful about how you inform programs that you will not be interviewing with them. PM&R is generally considered a close knit community and I definitely don't want to offend anyone and I can't be travelling WAY TOO much. The tough part is that I selected only programs that I would want to interview with and felt I would be happy with, but I'm not going to be able to make them all!

considering almost all of them only interview on fridays (I swear its a conspiracy) they know full well you can't interview at all your choices. I hate how limiting it is and at this point I'm straight up telling them I can't make it because their dates coincide with other programs. What other choice do I have? Lie?

No kidding. If a program has a monday interview (3 so far) I'm all over it!

I said it was a matter of cost - I think most programs will understand - and usually the interviews are scheduled by the program secretaries and at that point, you probably are just another name or number. If you rotated there, that's another story... I would make it just to show respect. 🙂
