I know a lot of u are revising, taking advice from readers, editing, having another 10 people read and tell you what to say, and then revising again, and that’s awesome. Revising ur essays is great!!! But be careful of losing ur personality/voice/what makes you special in that. Don’t let people’s comments totally change the narrative you want to tell (unless it’s super problematic). It is SO SO SO obvious when you see a personal statement that isn’t genuine/isn’t really telling that persons story.

TLDR: revise, but make sure your personal statement is YOURS

While your post certainly needs to be proofread, its message is important. The personal statement should capture each person's unique pathway to medicine. Each person's experiences that convince them to become a doctor are like a fingerprint, no two sets are exactly the same.
