Hey guys, I just completed my first AAMC Practice Exam, AAMC 3, and I got a 25(VR:8/PS:8/BR:9). I finished all the content review, including watching Chad's videos, Using EK and TBR as well. This was also my first full test under timed conditions, so it may be the pressure. My exam is August 27th and I still have the other practice exams left, as well as most of the TPRH Science Workbook and Verbal Workbook to do. Is it possible to get into the 30's still, preferably a mid 30 for the AAMC's by my test date? Is there still time for me to improve?

Thanks

Take a few more exams and if your score is not improving reschedule. At least with me, my aamc average ended up being my MCAT score.

Get ahold of some kaplan FL's!! Practice more passages in TBR, then take some kaplan FL's. Don't take another AAMC until you are getting 30+ on kaplan FL's…this way you won't waste the aamc's . GL!

Postpone if possible and work on non-AAMC practice tests like TPR CBTs, Kaplan, EK, etc. Once you start scoring within range, try another AAMC. (Be aware that many schools have cut offs around 6 or 7 out of 15 per section. Which is another reason I say, "postpone." An 8 is too close for comfort.)

-Do NOT use up all your AAMC exams too soon. They are the best way to estimate your real score.

-If possible, wait until AAMC practice tests say you're ready (not almost ready) to take the real thing.

Good luck!

Where can I get more FL's though without enrolling in a class? I have an EK full length and plus the AAMCs so far

Gold standard has 10 exams you can purchase. I found their PS and BS to be very challenging but its good practice.

Ohh okay, great! And what about Kaplan and TPR, and Tbr if they have any?
Kaplan has a free mcat you can take without enrolling into any of their classes and I thought that exam was tougher than the Aamcs, especially their PS.
