Just started shadowing/volunteering at clinic, should I list this in AADSAS?

I'm applying this cycle and have just begun at another clinic, should I list this in my AADSAS? I plan to submit my application as soon as I hear back on the FAP, so I won't have many hours from this. Will it look good, or be viewed negatively (Like I'm trying to cram stuff last minute)?

I don't think it will hurt you. The only way it would look bad is if you tried to cram ALL of your shadowing in right now, but it doesn't sound like that is the case. You are just showing that you are still interested in the field.

Thanks! Yeah Ive been shadowing for some time now, but I found out there was a clinic near my house so I wanted to try and get involved over my gap year and was just trying to ensure I don't shoot myself in the foot.

I think that's a good move. Plus, if you don't get in this year for whatever reason, your application will be stronger for the next cycle. Good luck to you!

I would think it kind of matters how many hours you have already. If you have a healthy number of hours, it would just look to me like you're continuing your volunteering experiences. If you have like 14 hours, then it kind of looks like cramming, but that isn't necessarily bad either, right? It's better than the other guy who has 14 hours and decided not to do an extra internship.

Sorry to add to this- Do you have to list the dates you shadowed each dentist. For example- it you shadowed 3 years ago and then your last experience with a different doctor was the month before applications, is there any way to "hide" the gap?
