is anyone familiar with acethedat and how it will compare.

i take my test in 3 weeks, what do i need to do? how do these scores

ive used both. acethedat has grading errors in the practice problems. Especially in the PAT sections practice problems. i havent taken aces full length tests, im using kaplan and topscore for those. Ive been using acethedat for their PAT which I've heard is slightly harder than the real dat. Im taking the dat too in ~3weeks(Aug 14). Ive also heard that many people tend to see higher scores in the SNS area of real dat versus topscore(ie topscore may be more difficult than real dat in that area).

i had a few questions for you about acethedat.
What did u think of acethedat's full length tests? Can u do one section at a time? Will it give you the grade when you complete 1 section? Did u find it annoying how they only give you answers for problems you got wrong?

First off, acethedat is riddled with grading errors, so don't take those scores too personally. Topscore is indeed more difficult than the DAT, as well as many portions of acethedat (too many calculations in the GC section, for example). In regards to what you need to do I would recommend that you target those areas in which you felt "gosh, I didn't see that one coming at all" while taking that portion of the test. Looking at your scores I would guess that O Chem is a sore area and would study up on that for sure - and add the other two natural science sections to that as well. That is my advice based on your post. Keep studying and best of luck!

yes,
AcetheDat had some errors.
and it is annoying that you cant see your right answers explanations.
also the grading scale is off. it is different than barrons .
on acethedat the biology seemed very detailed, pretty stupid to me.
and the reading was a joke, i didnt even read the passage and got a 24.
but the pat and math was great practice. but you have to take the full 4 hr. test . thats the bad thing.

i feel that the topscore was much harder then the real deal except for the pat. So if you keep your cool you should do better than the topscore. Definately dont worry too much about ochem because on topscore i was getting around a 19 and on the real thing i got a 25.
