this was my second time and my score doesn't look any different from the first time...this sucks...i don't know if this's gonna hurt me.

1st time 2nd time
PAT - 19 22
QR - 21 25
RC - 17 17
BIO - 18 18
Chem - 20 19
OChem - 17 17
TS - 18 18
AA - 19 19

i have 3.51 for overall and 3.43 for Science GPA..

What are my chances...?
since i screwed up the DAT AGAIN, im so worried.....
I just wanna cry...................🙁🙁🙁🙁
By the way, TMDSAS just processed my application.....sigh*

dude, you did great....congrats

your PAT and QR went up dramatically. your sciences were good to begin with, the 1 pt. drop in gchem is nothing

did the test get harder from the last time you took it? did you study more? good gpa too...(exact same is me!)

Everyone is struggling with the QR right now, so I am sure we are all wondering how you studied for it!

im confused on how your AA didnt go up? you increased overall

u can calculate the AA, there's not much difference in both

to the OP, my guess is that as long as ur score didn't drop, it is fine, nothing negative.

great job! i think you did do well some of your scores are so good! What in the world did you do for QR?! that score is greeeaat!

congrats and g'luc with the rest :luck:

i really want to slap anyone that has a 3.4+ and is stressing about getting in. apply to 30 places and you will get in. if not, you will get in the next year for sure. if anything, i should be stressing out with my 2.99 GPA and i havent even taken the DAT's yet. i would need a 24 AA for them to overlook my GPA

i think im really nervous and worried because there were so many people who didn't get in last year with GPA 3.4+ and DAT 19+...
and the admission lady at Baylor dental school told me that my RC was kinda low and i should raise the RC score so i retook it and now what..i got the same score...i feel like this is even worse..........

How i studied on QR..to be honest..i really didn't study for QR..i didn't have time to study for it because my concerns were the science and reading sections..
I didn't even study for PAT..
I did three practice tests (Kaplan On line) and that was it for QR and PAT...
im a math person so that should have helped me...

For the math section, i think you just need to know the type of questions..
Most of them are word questions, and they are not hard...
i think many ppl just run out of time..so i guess you need to practice in order to find shorter way to solve them...three or four of them are trigometry, so make sure you know the basic equations for that..

From what I've seen you can no longer relax with a 3.4+ GPA, most schools that I've seen tend to have average GPA's at ~3.5 or higher, and DAT of 18+.

I guess we have the same % chance of getting into med school than dental school. I may be wrong but I roughly calculated using stats from 2006 AAMC.

Dental school: 4,000 spots/10,000 applicants = 40% chance of getting in (40% of applicants get in somewhere)

Medical School: 15,925 spots/ 39,108 applicants = 40.7% chance of getting in (40.7% of applicants get in somewhere)

So yeah . . . we can't relax :scared:

yeah but don't forget that the application pools are quite different..
