i just took it today!

PAT 18 65.9%
QR 19 81.8%
RC 20 67.0
Biology 20 87.4
G-Chem 18 60.6
O-Chem 26 98%
TS 20 85.8
AA 21

let me go through the sections

1) PAT -- for some reason it seemed easy, but i missed alot, the angles are hard as a mofo. they all look like the same. from practicing Achiever i now know my eyes cant tell a 5 degree difference and alot of the angles were around 5 degree difference. also the hole punching is hard because they punch little circles compared to the big ones we are using to seeing so it makes you think more of positions

2) QR -- I knew I was going to do ok in this section which i am happy to get a 19. Probably 10 wordproblems out of 40. People please learn your trig functions and probably problems is a must!!

3) RC -- I knew I was going to do ok in this too from practicing. But alot of inferring questions

4) Biology -- What everyone is scared of. Well all I have to say is alot of out of there questions. ALOT. But for some reason I didn't get any genetics or ecology questions or glycosis?? WTF?! I was prepared for this by taking genetics, physiology (omg this is crucial), ecology and evolution, biochemistry, etc...just alot of bio courses but I think the most crucial is physiology

5) G-Chem -- This was my hardest section out of the whole DAT. PEOPLE do not learn how to solve equations. They are a waste of time. Learn conceptual stuff about GChem like solubility, ion sizes, vapor pressure etc. I had only 2 calculations problem and I studied my butt off for this. 18 score blows chunks

6) O-Chem -- I thought this was a fun section. I could have sworn I missed more, but just your basic SN2/SN1 E2/E1 stuff with some other things to throw you off.

7) Please sleep before your DAT. I couldn't sleep the night before and thats what kinda made me kind of tired while taking the test. Also eat a hearty breakfast.

Study material:
Kaplan course (waste of money), DAT Achiever, Top Score
Whatever your PAT score is in Achiever add 2-4 points to that
Your RC and QR should best be studied from achiever/topscore

thats about all i got to say

Good job! Congratulations and worry about the rest of the process!

fyi i took the test at Redlands, CA
they gave me 8 sheets of paper + 2 pencils and were really chill people

Did you need anything calc. related? I have not taken calculus, will that hurt me while I am taking the DAT?

jdmsamurai,

Could you please tell me how did you practice for RC? It is my biggest weakness and fear. I loose myself, before knowing what the hell happened the time is up. Please tell me how to practice for it. Any thing anything is appreciated!!!

there is no calculus. but there are alot of probability questions, trig questions, and word problems (algebra)

for RC i PMed you

Great job! Aren't you so glad to have it finally be over? 🙂

Congratulation very good scores. I would really need your advice how to study for math and English. Thank you.

its funny. i am taking the kaplan course too. it started 2 weeks ago and i think its a complete waste of money. no practice tests at all to test your skills. im thinkin about getting my money back. they just hand you a book to review your stuff...

very good score, how long did u study for it

Great Job! Enjoy whats left of your summer. I am curious though as to what topics make up the physiology part. Your Ochem score is making me drool....were you just a natural at it or did you improve from your practice tests on Topscore and achiever. If you could share your topscore and achiever scores that would be a great help!thanks!

I am refering to the chapters by the way, not specific Q's you saw in your exam. I have never taken Physiology so i want to get an idea of what chapters that coresponds to in the Kaplan book.thanks

i actually dont remember what exactly was on, but know your endocrinology, neuroscience, and exocrinology. i think thats very important along with respiration, muscles, and neurons...

im alittle sadden with my gchem score, but what can you do?...lol...should have studied more conceptual questions.

well the ochem is very easy...they make it harder than it looks...just look for key items....
