hey u guys, our teacher did a poor job explaining JVP waveforms, isn't answering emails, and for some reason i'm not finding much help online...if anyone can help EXPLAIN why:
constrictive pericarditis--> prominent x descent, steep y descent
cardiac tamponade-->prominent x descent, no y descent
tricuspid stenosis--> small V wave (...i thought this would be the opp.)
the other abnormalities make sense (ie: tricuspid insufficiency leading to small X descent, etc)...i'd just really like to know the logic behind this, rather than just memorizing it.
