Hi all,

Anybody have an opinion on what a reasonable time-frame is to give a candidate to consider a job offer?

Are you talking academic or private? 'Cause academic would be 2-3 months.

I think 2-3 days sounds good all around.

Academic may be more lenient and give a bit more time, but from what I've seen that's only because academic positions tend to desire more specific candidate qualifications (specific research interests, coupled with service skills that complement the current team), which tends to reduce the applicant pool. But my experience in the matter is minimal.
