did you read the article? where did it say they were being replaced by CRNA's?

The hospital previously had a contract with a local private practice of anesthesiologists, and they chose to terminate that contract at the end of this year. Instead, they went with an AMC (anesthesia management company) to cut costs. The -ologists at Beaumont will be Northstar employees now. No one is being replaced by CRNA's.
 
Scary thing is Wall Street and private equity are buying up medical practices and overseeing them. At some point, doctors will be squeezed out as a cost saving strategy, with a couple of doctors overseeing an an army of midlevels. The onslaught is on for doctors from all sides and they’re not fighting back at all—frankly it’s really sad to see.
