Hey everyone, I was recently hired by Kaiser and I now need to go through HR. I have to pass a typing test and to be honest, I'm not the fastest typer. How long from when I submit my app through HR should I expect to come in and do the typing test? Also, I heard that when I take the test I go in a room by myself, and I can practice the prompt. Then I take the same test I was able to study, and give the results to the person at the front. Is this true, or do I get one shot and I have a person breathing down my neck?

I think it's 45 wpm, and I've been practicing like crazy. I just need to know the format of the test.

Many typing practice progs on the net, just google.

Yeah I know that there are practice sets on the internet, I just want to know the test format at Kaiser. Things like how long is the test (1 min, 5 min?), do I get a practice round/warm up, is the test one shot only, is the prompt on the cpu screen or on a piece a paper, is the prompt a meaningless string of grammatical words/numbers or is it a regular article? These things actually change my typing speed so I just want to be prepared. Come on, someone has to know.

So how was the test? Do new pharmacists have to take this test too? Hope you got the job! If so, do you like working at Kaiser?
