I was wondering if anyone here that works at kaiser pharmacy could enlighten me about the benefits you receive at Kaiser. When I search for it in the forums, I'm constantly seeing posts that Kaiser offers pensions to its employees. However, when I google it, the only relevant site I find is:
http://www.kaiserpharmacyresidency.org/programs/ppFresno/documents/BIB_NC-GPP.pdf

which makes no mention of a pension. However, I realize this is only for Northern California (I reside in Georgia), but I would like some clarification on this, and whether this is for staff or clinical pharmacists as well. Details on paid time off would be welcome as well.

Another post I stumbled upon mentioned that future employees would no longer be receiving pensions after 2014, but I was uncertain whether that was for staff (nurses, ect), physicians, or pharmacists.

if you can contribute the max you can to the tax sheltered annuity ~$17,500, don't worry about that other bizness.

Southern California Guild pharmacists currently still have their pension, but it will be frozen in 2016 or 2017 (I vaguely recall a 5 year vesting). There is ongoing negotiation as the Guild contract ended some time ago. Employee benefits are generous, but changing.

Northern California Guild pharmacists have their pension, and their current contract does not have a freeze. I think their contract is about to end, but cannot recall the date off the top of my head.

I do not know about the other regions such as GA, HI, etc.

Many people want to work for them, but it is very difficult to get your foot in the door. It is common to have people retire with them-some with over 30 years.

They have millions of members, and their own corporate culture.
